Liars, Blowhards, and the Religious Belief in Extraterrestrial Contact.

Greetings. The UFO problem has been at the center of spirited discussion for more than a few decades now, but has the talk led anywhere? Have any definitive answers fallen into our collective lap, or are we still in the dark? In my humble opinion, the UFO problem has not been solved, nor have any answers been found that are supported by verified data and information. None. However, the UFO subculture seems to have a different point of view, to hell with the necessity for proof or irrefutable evidence.

For most UFO people, the question of alien visitation has already been answered, although those same individuals are unable to provide proof to prove their point to the masses, and are incapable of objectively supporting their belief structures. Sounds like religion. The belief is strong, and the acceptance of unsubstantiated claims is even stronger, to the point of blinding faith and adherence. To be blunt, the possibility of alien visitation cannot be discounted out of hand, but the blind acceptance of the concept has attained cult-like status, accompanied by an unhealthy dose of faith-based beliefs and a mythology complete with prophets and a judgment day, read disclosure.

With no defensible conclusions having been arrived at, no reasonable possibilities can be thrown into the ufological wastebasket, despite the fact that that particular container is the home of quite a number of historical hoaxes that are the stuff of legend; Aztec, Aurora, Trinity, Kingman, San Agustin, Maury Island, etc.... Additionally, some "researchers" have continued to support the validity of cases; Hill, Walton, Napolitano, that are absolutely inundated by red flags, and have engaged in legal efforts to censor the opposing voices in the UFO arena. Sounds like Cold War style fascism, Peter Robbins style.

Any UFO researcher worth their weight in investigative gold will tell you that the vast majority of UFO reports, ninety to ninety-five percent, are explained by misidentifications, mundane phenomena, and naturally occurring events, nothing out of the ordinary, and certainly nothing involving spacefaring extraterrestrials. The remaining percentage is what holds the investigative curiosity of so many UFO researchers around the world, deservedly so.

Do we know that aliens have visited the Earth? No. Do we know how many UFOs, if any, are alien spacecraft? No.

Do we know that some UFO celebrities and "researchers" are frauds? Yes. Do we know that some of those same people, and some "investigative organizations," are not being openly transparent about their activities? Absolutely!

However, what we do know beyond a ufological shadow of a doubt is that many, many, many people claim to have the answers to the UFO problem, but none of them have ever produced a shred of proof or evidence to prove the validity of their statements. Can you say Bob Lazar?

Thank you for your time and consideration.
